UV-Sensitive 4-Pin Y Cables

Item Number: UVPSY4
Availability: in stock

These special power Y-cables glow under a UV light! A must have for any system using a UV Neon or cold-cathode light and a case window. Available in red and green fluorescent. First of its kind on the market. They will make some "wow" in your next LAN party. Retail package.

Picture on the left shows the green cable under UV light with a black background.

"Y" shaped power cable (one IDE to two IDE) with pass-thru connectors to allow connections to extra internal CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, CD-RW drives, hard disc drive or other IDE devices. 5.25" to 5.25"x2. Y-cables are used to expand the number of power connectors from a power supply. The 1 to 4 Y cable allows the connection of four IDE devices to one power connector from the power supply. It can also be used as an extension of the existing power cable. Also called drive wye.

(1) Four wires. Black wires are for ground. Yellow and black wires provide 12V DC voltage. Red and black wires provide 5V DC voltage. Yellow and red wires provide 7V DC voltage. The four wires are placed in two fluorescent tubes. (2) Sometimes, the connectors are called Molex connectors. (3) We also have a T-shaped extension cable to replace this Y-cable. (4) Length: 1-to-2, 13.5" long. 1-to-4, 17" long.

Notes: (1) The fluorescent tube looks nice but does not glow in the dark by themselves. The glow-under-dark effect only works under ultra violet or black lights. (2) Without the UV light, the cables have bright green or red colors. (3) The pictures were taken with and without UV lights. (4) The extension connectors on the 1-to-4 cable are T-shaped, which saves space and looks cool. Great design to connect IDE devices that are adjacent to each other.
